i love old fashioned names (my dd is lucy kate).  i have been kind of stuck on lola claire or lola grace, but now i am not so sure.  

my mom's mn is mary & i think it would be so great to use that as this baby's mn. our last name starts with a c & has three syllables.

We have similar taste. I've always loved Lucy and I'd love very much to use Mary as a mn as well. We're having a boy this time around, but if it was a girl then her name would be Isla. I wanted to use the combo Isla Mary, but the initials would be IMP - so I ditched it. Anyhoo... suggestions for you.

Lola is a cute name! I think if you like Lola, you should stay with it and use your mother's MN as the MN.
