Is 'Hank' the only nickname for Henry?

I heard someone suggest 'Huck' as a nn for Henry the other day.  I like it, but I don't get how it works as a nn for Henry.  Thoughts?

Its really growing on me!  I have a Michael that we call Mack, so I guess its a similar thought process from Henry to Huck.

Ooo forgot about Harry.  I like that too.

I actually really like Huck as a NN. Henry is one of my top boys names and I never thought about a NN for it, but I'm really liking the sound of Huck.

Why does Henry need a nickname?  It's perfectly fine, and IMO preferable, to your prospective nickname ideas.

Ditto Harry... Prince Harry's actual first name is Henry.

This may be an UO, but I don't view Harry and Hank as legit NNs for a name like Henry.

I look at NNs like something shorter that derives directly from the name. There is no Hank in Henry, and Harry is a NN for Harrison (or a FN on it's own). You can say Harry is a NN for Henry but really it's the same amount of syllables and all you're doing is calling your kid by a completely different name. I just don't get it.

I don't think a name like Henry can have a traditional NN. Calling your kid Hen is weird and I'd probably end up shortening it to "Ry" (but pronounced "Ree" ...so I'm not sure how you'd go about spelling it.)

I think Henry is one of those take it or leave it names because a NN will be hard to come by.

    Edit: Typo
