NMR: LED lightbulbs

Does anyone use these more or less exclusively in your home?

DH had been trying to get me on board to switch all our bulbs to LED (except for our bathrooms b/c we have 1977 florescent box light fixtures in there still ) because he claims it'll save us so much in the long run on our electric bill.

I'd love to hear someone who has already done this though and can "prove" that the savings is that great.

He talked me in to putting them in the kitchen, and I like them...they're just so pricey up front!!

we put them in our overhead lights in the kitchen, and you can definitely tell they're not as hot as the halogens we used to have in there. but i can't really tell a difference in our bill because we only switched that one fixture. but my husband wants to switch all our lights out too. right now, everything is CFL. we're just being very gradual in changing over.

We have all CFLs too except for the kitchen.  It'll be a big chunk of change to switch over all at once!  I'll let him do maybe a room at time.
