Anyone live in NY and have Empire Plan?

If so, I hear they cover IVF! If you have it and are undergoing IVF, what do they cover? TIA!

I don't have the empire plan - but I do live in NY.   But I do know they cover IVF - there is a girl in my office support group that just got a new job only b/c they offer the empire plan and they will cover her IVF (she's done 8 IUIs!).   Also - all around my RE office there are special notices if you have the empire plan let us know before we do x,y,z...

If you can get it - I'm sure its worth it!

I do. ?We are doing IUI right now, which is fully covered. ?My husband and I each have $50,000 worth of coverage for IVF. I'm not sure what his money is for, bc if I use all of mine I can't use his.

So far we haven't had to pay a cent for out bloodwork, back to back IUI, and ultrasounds (not even a copay) bc all of these are covered under our regular insurance and not the infertility coverage. ?I had to pay $5 for my five days of Clomid. The nurses keep telling us that we have the best coverage. ?I guess that it's one thing that we are lucky for in this IF journey.

Not sure how the coverage work with IVF.?

I have the Empire Plan and it's fabulous! We're moving on to IVF if this cycle isn't successful. I already have the meds though which cost less than $50 for everything (I'm sure this would depend on which meds you were specifically prescribed, but the copays are ridiculously low). I have $50,000 in IVF coverage which is a lifetime limit.

    Good luck!!

IUI #1 (50 mg clomid and ovidrel) - BFN
IUI #2 (100 mg clomid and HCG trigger) - BFN

    IVF #1 - 21 retrieved, 20 mature, 15 fertilized (ICSI), 2 d5 blasts transferred, 8 frozen - c/p
    FET #1 - BFFN
FET #2 - BFN? c/p? Either way no baby
    FET #3 - No shock...BFN
    FET #4 - BFN :-(

Oh my gosh! Thank you SOO much! I am very relieved because I just know that this will need to be our next step. Currently I have CDPHP and they pay for everything up to 6 IUIs but nothing for IVF. So we will be doing IUIs (against my RE's advice, he just wants us to do an IVF because DHs counts are so low) until we switch to Empire which will hopefully be at the start of 2012.

I had IVF done under the empire plan and they covered everything but our co pay's for the med's which were super cheap.
