If your SO works from home, how do you handle lunch?

I'd be happy with a can of Spaghettio's for lunch but a couple of days a week my DH works from home and I'm guessing that he won't be interested in that.  If your DH/SO works from home how do you do lunch?  Do you prepare lunch for everyone or do you worry about yourself and they do their own thing?

If you do prepare lunch can you give me some lunch ideas please?  I'm stuck on sandwiches and salads and thats going to get old.  I'll throw leftovers into the lunch schedule when we have them but for the days we don't, I'm stuck.

Thanks

  • Lunch is the worst part of dh working from home.  It works out best if we make a pot of soup on the weekends and then he can eat it for lunch during the week with sandwiches.  Another thing that is pretty easy to throw together is burritos.  Once in awhile dh is ok with cheese/crackers/fruit/veggies.  Some nights I purposely cook extra just to provide leftovers for the next day.

We always all eat together when dh is home for lunch.  I wish it was less of a production every day.

  • I usually eat leftovers for lunch. If the hubby doesn't like/want it - he's on his own.

That was pretty much the same deal for my dh when he was working from home.

Either he'd make himself a sandwich or eat leftovers.

I also made sure I had plenty of microwaveable stuff, like rolled tacos, burritos... frozen stuff like that.

  • He takes care of his own lunch. My DH now works from home a few days a week. I'm not responsible for his lunch........

  • My hubby does not WAH but he only works about a mile from our home so he comes home for lunch every day. For a long time, I would cook lunch every day but when I got preggy, I couldn't handle doing all the chores and cooking 2x or 3x a day. So now, I cook twice as much at supper time and put the extra in the fridge. Then I reheat in the microwave for lunch time. My hubby will not go microwave leftovers but if I fix his plate for him and heating it for him, he does not mind one bit eating leftovers. I don't know how my microwaving makes a diff but it does. I guess men just want to babied sometimes lol. I don't mind doing this b/c it is easier for me to microwave then it is to cook a whole another meal. Not to mention, it makes grocery shopping easier.
