  • Your manual should say. For the chicco keyfit, it's at 11 pounds. I left the head support in though since she doesn't have great head control yet.

  • Mine (Chicco KeyFit 30 says 11 lbs, but the head positioner doesn't have a weight limit and his head is still fitting in it with room to spare so I've left it in.

  • Have you guys moved the straps up yet? They're starting in the middle of her back now, so I'm guessing I need to move them up a notch?

  • I'll probably move the straps and the head rest up this weekend. Especially w/ the CD's, she's sitting pretty tall in there now. Our babies are growing! Crying

Thanks! I'm hoping when I take those parts out that it'll be less hot for her and therefore will like her carseat better. She hates it now.

  • I don't have an insert in my carseat...maybe it's because it's 2yrs old and that's something new?

  • I am so glad you posted this! I didn't realize it was almost time to remove the insert- however I wasn't expecting Ty to grow so much so quickly!! I did move the straps up a few weeks ago but moved them back downs because he was screaming bloody murder once I moved them up. Once I moved them backed he was fine. He is about10 lb and getting so big I guess he'll have to get used to the straps being higher!

Are you talking about the harness straps?  If so, they need to be at or just below her shoulders.
