Freaking out a bit...

So last night DH and I went to dinner with some friends, and when I stood up to leave I had an intense sharp pain in my right pelvic area. Honestly this was not a new pain, I've actually had them before I was pregnant. However, I just got up to go to the bathroom and that spot is really tender.  I'm freaking out because I'm worried it's an ectopic.  I read other posts saying that if it's ectopic, you would know. But I don't want it to get so bad I have to be rushed to the ER if it is. Has anyone else had this? Or for you who have had an ectopic, does this sound familiar?! Thanks in advance!

  • I'd call your doc and explain what you are experiencing.  That's what s/he gets paid for!  It sounds like RLP, but it's better to be safe than sorry.  You don't want to lose a tube if it is an EP.  GL.

  • are you ok?  how is it now?  I occasionally get a pain in my stomach area but I know that it can be the round ligament pain and it usually goes away quickly.

Hoping you are feeling better today.

Sounds like RLP to me. It can feel like little lightning bolts. I get it when I sneeze sometimes.

This. It used to happen to me if I stood up too quickly.

  • Thanks for all the feedback! I don't want to be one of those who freak out over every little thing, but this had me concerned! I still feel a bit of "pressure" in that area but it's not hurting like it was. *Whew*!!
