  • So your naming your daughter the same exact first and middle name as you?  If you want Jordan take out the Y!!!!  There is no Y in the word Jordan!

  • I'm not naming my child after myself. Just seeing if the name as is popular elsewhere as it is here. As for glitter and rainbows...yes sometimes people make mistakes, that's what makes it an imperfect world.

Great minds must think alike though because my sons name is Nolan :)

  • Boo hiss!!!

Jordan Leigh would be a major step up, although I dislike both names. Why the misspelling? Besides, Jordan is so dated - very 1990s. I would seriously reconsider using a more contemporary name (and/or a name that isn't indicative of any decade - i.e. a classic name) and a correctly spelled name.

  • No- as others said, it's too masculine, and PLEASE spell Jordan correctly!  This whole y craze is out of control.

    No
    Too masculine.

This. I'd do a much more feminine MN if you're set on Jordyn.

Ditto.  My sister's name is Jordan, and she was born in '92.  I expect any Jordan I meet to be about her age.

  • I have to agree with a pp it's slightly masculine. I like the name Jordyn though.

  • I like Jordan for a girl but dislike the "Y" spelling..
  • I'm glad you like your name, but I prefer names where people don't have to guess if I am talking about my son or my daughter.

  • Pretty! I can see that there might be gender confusion when spoken, but certainly not written. And they're both unisex names depending on the spellings. I like it!

My youngest sister is JORDAN and was born in 1995.

The name's NMS but at least spell it properly.

  • My 3 year old nieces name is Jordan Leigh and she is all girl, so I'm fine with it, but I know the OP was just trying to stir up drama, so that's my only comment for now!

  • Does it really  matter what a group of hormonal women think of YOUR baby's name? I will leave my opinion out of the discussion for that very reason, and believe you should name your child what YOU love!
