Where is my crying towel?

Ok, I know, I'm just being a Negative Nelly.  But I work at an oil company and tomorrow is our fiscal year end and we are doing inventory...in a warehouse that will be about 120 degrees!  That's all, just had to get it off my chest.

  • I would recommend staying hydrated and taking lots of breaks.  I thought pregnant women shouldn't be exposed to high temperatures for extended periods of time, so try to take it easy and if necessary, call your doctor to make sure this activity is okay for you to perform!

  • It will be a very extended period of time.  I'm going in at 7 to do my office work then plan on starting inventory by 9 and probably going until 4 or 5.  I will have to carry a bottle of water and probably get constant refills.

I agree with previous poster.  I'm sure you know all about the dangers of overheating your body while pregnant, so I won't go into detail, but you should NOT be going into that warehouse while pregnant. If you are absolutely required to do so, I would definitely call your OB to be sure such an activity is ok and definitely take very frequent a/c trips, even if it means sitting in your car and stay very hydrated.  I'd bring a cooler in, with ice cold water ready to drink.
