Baby Names

Do these sister names go together?

DD is Ainsley Elizabeth, and we found out that we are having another girl. Yay for sisters! I don't want their names to be too similar, but want them to 'go' together (if that makes sense).

I liked Harper Catherine, which I think is goes great with Ainsley, but DH vetoed Harper.

WDYT of:

Finley (too rhymy with Ainsley?)
Avery (although my name starts with an A also so that would be 3 A names - too cutesy?)

I feel like we need more of a list, but Finley is growing on me. I can't think of too many middle names though. Grace maybe or Catherine? She's due close to Christmas so I also thought Noelle would be sweet as a middle name. Our last name is one syllable English sounding and starts with a B.

  • Catherine Noelle is lovely!

How about Natalia/Natalie Grace?  They denote Christmastime, too

I don't like Finley or Avery at all.

  • Avery Noelle is very pretty. I don't mind the A name theme.

  • I also like Catherine or Avery Noelle.  IMO Finley sounds more like a boys name.

  • Finley is very masculine to me, and Ainsley is feminine so I don't think they flow well. Avery is Ok, but not too keen on the matching first letter.

  • I think Ainsley and Avery sound way too similar.  Catherine is my favorite of your choices.

  • Finley is a boy name in my mind. I love Catherine and Noelle is beautiful too!

  • Finley is too rhyme-y with Ainsley.

Avery and Ainsley are too cutesy together.

I love Harper, but if YH doesn't like it, it's out.

  • I love Grace and Catherine!  I think Ainsley and Finley are a cute sib set.  I like Noelle for the middle name too.

    Congrats on another girl!

  • i love noelle grace catherine

none of your first anme choices

  • Ainsley and Nicholette ?
  • I like Finley and Harper (2 of my names as well).  I'm learning very quickly people on here do not like boyish names for girls.  My DH and I just happen to lean towards those kinds of names.

  • I also like Catherine Noelle or Avery Noelle. However, I would be careful with the "A" theme if you plan to later expand your family. My sister is caught with the "C" theme; she has two little boys both with "C" names, so she naturally feels limited to "C" names for her third :(

  • I think another A name would be fine but I don't really like Avery.  Catherine and Noelle are both beautiful names though.

  • I don't think Finley goes very well with Ainsley, and its nms. Neither is Avery, though. I do like Noelle. How about Paige or Jenna?

I don't like the "ley" rhyme-y-ness of Ainsely and Finley.
    Same with Avery.
Harper is NMS.. but that would be my vote out of the three.

  • Ha! Some of you are harsh! Yeah, I don't like Catherine or Noelle (too dated imo) as a first name so those are out.

DH is really picky, and he doesn't think Finley is too boyish so I'm surprised by that reaction. But yeah, it's probably too rhymy with Ainsley. Hmm, back to Nymbler!
