Cloth Diapering

In Between Sizes

My LO seems to be rapidly outgrowing his NB stash (prefolds, some fitteds and AIOs). the prefolds and fitteds are getting tighter by the day. We have a collection of one-size pockets for down the road but DS is no where near fitting in these. I'm torn on what to during the interim. I planned on just buying prefolds in the next size up but am wondering if LO will be in his pockets or still using the interim dipes when I go back to work (daycare won't do prefolds but they will do pockets and AIOs). BTDT mamas, what would you/did you do?

Re: In Between Sizes

  • Hmm...I never had that problem since we didn't start CDing until DD was 3 months and she could fit in OS by then.  The cheapest option is probably to just buy prefolds.  With the bigger prefolds, you can fold it down to adjust the rise to fit your baby.  They might be bulkier but it'll work.  Another option would be to try something like the Thirsties Duo Diaper.  It's a pocket dipe that comes in 2 sizes and size 1 should last until 16-17 lbs (I think).  It snaps down pretty small too.  HTH!

Thanks. I'm not very familiar with the Thirsties Duos (although I've seen them). I'll check into those.
