    It's my friend's West Highland White Terrier's name.

    i dont hate it.

    But as my girl name (Emrys) would suggest, Im big on mythical names. You do know a Griffin was a mythical beast, right?

    Makes me think of Harry Potter and brussels griffon dogs. Overall, do not like it.
    Started TTC 2/2009
    Started fertility treatments 11/2010
    Ovarian dysfunction, LPD, male factor
    6 failed medicated IUI's
    Pregnant 5/2011 - Miscarriage at 6 weeks due to triploidy
    Decided to adopt - 6/2012
    SURPRISE! Pregnant without intervention - 7/2012 
    Sweet Baby James Born 3/2013
    Decided to be "One and Done"

    ....OR NOT.
    Pregnant 12/2018 despite birth control pills
    Here we go again...
    Due 8/26/19!

    It's not a name that I would use but I don't hate it. I knew a great guy with that name so I do have a good association with the name.

    I'm strangely not bothered by Griffin. I would not look askance if I met a little Griffin on the playground.

    I think it's kind of cute, but a friend has this surname so I couldn't use it even if I wanted to. :)

    It is NMS.  I know 2 Griffins: 1 sweet preschooler and 1 rotten teenager so I have mixed emotional reactions to it.  It isn't weird, misspelled, smooshed, or made-up so it passes.   I would, however, only use it  for a boy.  Naming a girl Griffin would be cruel IMHO.
