Even if you feel like it's a boys name, do you really want your boy to the only Morgan in a sea of girls in school? We're pretty much giving up on Peyton because of this.

I've known both male and female Morgans. I put it in the same category as Jordan, Kendall, and Taylor. It wouldn't be my top choice, but if I did use a name like that, I'd pair it with a middle name that very clearly indicates the child's gender.

I think it can work because the name has a strong male sound. I've known several girls named Morgan, but I personally thought it was strange so I don't care for it as a girl name. My dh and I love it as a boy's name and plan to use it
I went to highschool with one(who I may have had a slight crush on), but he tended to go by his middle name. When the topic of his first name came up(mostly roll call, or when the front office paged him), he said it was a family tradition. Considering how proud he was of his family's Welsh heritage, I'm not too surprised by the name.

I feel like that is a girls name now.

I agree with this.
This. And it's my SIL's middle name.
There is a male Morgan as a character on the Anne of Green Gables Movies...Anne's love interest while she is away teaching at at girls academy.
That being said, I think it's perceived as a girl's name now.
I completely forgot all about Morgan Harris!!!
I was so sad to read the books only to discover that Mrs. Harris and Emmeline are only in the movies!!
This, along with Avery, Emory, and any name that ends in 'on' for goodness sake, why can't boys have boys' names and girls have girls' names?
