I actually love the name, considered it myself. But the spelling is obnoxious.
When we chose Emrys, we were worried about people pronouncing it Em-reez.. so considered adding a second "s" to be Emryss and help people out. Then thought better of it deciding altering spelling of traditional names (no matter how rare) makes me no better than those who chose crap like Nevaeh. You're not creative for choosing a stupid spelling. You just look illiterate.

It just looks...incomplete or something. I don't care for the name much, but I could accept Tenley a whole lot more than Tynli. I am so over people and their (pardon my blunt words) stupid and ridiculous spellings!
Re: Tynli
i went to high school with someone named tennli, so the name isn't foreign to me, but i'm not a fan of the name or the spelling tynli.

Tennley= ten-lee

How are those pronunciations different? Am I missing something?
Let's play word association!! When I hear "Tynli" I think of:
Tylenol.
Captain and Tennille.
Tinsel.
Tinnitus.
Alfred Lord Tennyson, and finally...
Ticks.
This has been a game of word association.

TIN ROOF! Rusted.
Me, too. Tenley is NMS, but Tynli is awful!
This was what went through my mind too, along with the fact it's dreadful.
