1 yr old bday gift?

My neighbor invited us to her son's party next week.  I don't even know my neighbor's name, we see them around but that's about it.  I'd prefer not to spend too much...  any suggestions?

stuffed animals, or clothing which never goes wrong, just make sure you get the right size, im assuming 12-18 month clothing.

My go to 1st bday gift is the FP bubble mower. Its $12, and is a hit. I try to get a lil toy they can walk behind (shopping cart, bubble mower, vacum). I also like the little leap frog bday cake ($10) w the Birthday Monsters book by Sandra Boynton. All go over really well.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.  BTW, we have one of those helicopters!  I ended up buying him a stuffed animal.
