at work to tell me that one of the other little girls told everyone that she saw a girl kissing another girls vagina on a movie last night. Sweet just what I want my 4.5 year old to be hearing & asking questions about.
omg. big hellz no. At least they let you know so you can think of answers before she asked. And I don't think I would bring it up. I would wait until she ask. She may not have heard it or thought much of it when she heard it. Also, I'd ask the daycare what THEY said/did when they heard the little girl talking.
She may have seen it by accident. Maybe her parents thought she was asleep? I would not report this to the state. Who knows if the kid is making it up too?
Daycare said she called the dad & he said that he was going to put parental control on the t.v. so I'm going to assume again that she was probably changing channels & who knows how long she watched it.

It could have been an accident, but I don't think that 4-5 yr olds make up stuff like this. DH was involved in a case where the "parents" actually had their kid watching porn.

Wow. How does one even go about explaining that to a kid? I'd be mortified if my child accidentally turned on a Skinimax at the wrong time. I'm so glad our TV is too complicated for her to turn on.

OMG, that is mortifying. I am wondering, though, how the girl equated what she saw w/ "kissing," b/c I'm thinking that what she saw really doesn't look anything like "kissing" in the way a 4 yo conceptualizes it.
And really? Calling CPS? Unless the girl said, "my parents taped my eyes open & made me watch porn," I can't imagine this qualifying as abuse. Horrifying & embarrassing for the parents, confusing for the kid, I'm sure. But not abuse.
Re: So, daycare just called me
Missed that post! That poor little girl.
I guess I missed it, too. Crazy!
That is what I am thinking
SERIOUSLY? Wow. That's terrible!
4.5 is a little young to have to explain that to a child!

OMG. Seriously?
Would I be annoyed? Maybe.
If my kid asked me about it, I don't know what I would say, but I would deal with it.
Would I be running around screaming abuse? Hell no. That's ridiculous.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
