Baby Announcement question

Should I send out announcements now, using a picture I've taken, or should I wait until the girls first professional photos, which will be taken in early November? ?They were born on Sept. 25th. ?Is there a general timeframe within which you're supposed to send announcements?

I plan on using pics we take at the hospital or after we arrive home.  I am hoping to have mine out by Thanksgiving (I am having a c-section on November 5th).

With both my twins and my singleton I don't think I did the announcements until they were about three months old. I wanted a cute pic that actually looked like them - not that squishy newborn look.

 

I don't know that there is a "timeframe" and I'm certain that having twins spares you the demands of dealing with one, even if there is! Do it when you want to.

I had problems w the pics' wanted to use. So, I took the pic I liked, went to scrapblog.com, printed it and mailed it. Everyone loved it.?

There is no time frame...you jsut do it when it works for you. I personally did it within the first few weeks of them being born.  I'm anal like that though! Plus they were born in Novemeber, and I didn't want it getting mixed in with Holiday cards.
