Two trips to L&D this week

On Sunday, I was in the hospital for a very terrible sharp pain. Everything looked fine, and it went away. Then they told me I had a slight UTI. But Monday, I spoke to my OB who said to wait to take the medication until the culture comes back (which will be today) because he doesn't want me taking it if I don't have to take it. I feel no UTI symptoms (and those are soooo painful). Plus, the med they wanted me to take said not to take if you are more than 38 weeks, which I am. This story is much longer, but I am making it short. LOL. ??Then, I went to the doctor yesterday. He did another internal. I have never had a problem when he has done them. It barely even hurt. He said I am between 2-3 cm, and 80% effaced. We will have to discuss induction when I go back next week because the baby is big. It gets complicated with me with the blood clotting issues and inductions because many inductions lead to c-sections, which is a very, very last resort for me. So the hope is that I will go into labor on my own. But on the other hand, he is worried the baby will be too big to fit. So basically, we want labor to start as soon as possible.?
When we got in the car afterwards, I started having really bad back pain. Realllly bad. Then contractions. When we got home, I realized I had bled through my pants all over everything. Ugh. But bleeding can be normal after an internal. Plus, I am on Heparin, which makes me bleed even more. I was home for about an hour, and I was in so so so much pain. Then I started passing clots of blood. I called him and he sent me right to the hospital. UGH.
After all the exams and tests, everything looked fine. My water didn't break. They think I am losing my mucus plug. I didn't continue to dilate. I was still bleeding a bit. It is probably because my cervix is opening now and it is sensitive and I am on Heparin, etc. I am having lots of contractions, but they arent regular, even though they are painful. I was having a bunch while they were examining me, and my body was pushing the speculum out. Ha.
I am not bleeding any more bright red. It is now old, brown blood. So it should hopefully totally stop soon. The contractions are letting up a lot. ?If I keep bleeding, I have to call my doctor.?
Oh, another highlight- At the hospital, a nurse asked me, "How many babies are in there?? You are huge!" Hahaha. I was like, "Ummm, just one!" She was embarrassed! She truly thought there was more. Ha.?
So, the baby needs to come. These issues would be resolved if he would just come out already!??I just hope all continues to go well now until he decides to come out!?

In all honesty, you have done an OUTSTANDING job staying pregnant - it hasn't been a road without bumps!! I can't wait to hear news of your outside baby boy!

Haha @ "the how many are in there, you are huge" comment. I got the same one from the admitting nurse on tues. I'm like really, I'm in pain because of labor and u r going to give me anxiety about how big my baby is! But all ended well he is big basically 9 lbs but he was out after 30 mins of pushing. Pushing them out is hard but so exciting. Good luck!
