? about bleeding/spotting after internal

  I had my appointment around 3 yesterday where she stripped my membranes.  When she showed me my mucus plug, you could see the blood, and they gave me a pad just in case.  I had no bleeding, no spotting, nothing for the rest of the day.  I still had my usual CM but it was clear/white like it's been this whole pregnancy.  This morning when I woke up for the 10th time to go pee at 5:30 I noticed blood.   Brown blood, but blood nonetheless.  Plus I had cramping.  What the heck is that all about??  I figured if I was going to have bleeding it'd be right after and continue and then taper off, not start over 12 hours later!  The cramping came and went for a little while but then I fell back asleep.  Woke up about 15 minutes ago and it was gone, but now that I'm up walking around things just feel funny.  Is this normal, or the start of something?

Well, the fact that the blood was brown tells me that it was old and probably was from your internal/having your membranes stripped.  If it was red, that would be fresh and perhaps a different story.  

As for the cramping...  at full term, it could be the start of something or still your body gearing up!    Fingers crossed it means you are making progress!   Good luck!
