What's your LO's favorite snack?

I am looking to branch out and offer DS new snacks.

What do you normally serve your child/children?

TIA!

Re: What's your LO's favorite snack?

  • Fruit, fruit and more fruit.

It's an especially fun time of year for fruit!!!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • Some ideas besides fruit :)

crackers with hummus, cheese stick wrapped in turkey, sweet potato chips, dried vegetables (green beans are her favorite), popcorn, graham cracker with peanut butter

  • Applesauce and yogurt are always quick go-tos.  Also, crackers (wheat and graham), goldfish, pretzels, popcorn, apple slices, bananas, pineapples, granola bars, turkey, dry cereal or Sun Chips.

  • Oh- and vanilla greek yogurt is DD#1s favorite.  We mix in different things- blueberries, raspberries, sliced bananas and for a special treat chocolate chips!

These are all very good ideas.

He has never had a rice cake before, and I think the idea with the cheese stick wrapped in turkey is different.

He does like fruit, but instead of giving him an apple everyday or some strawberries, these ideas will really widen his variety.

    Thanks again!

  • My girls love fruit too. One variation DD1 likes is banana slices with a dollop of peanut butter on top. We've been making fruit and yogurt smoothies a lot this summer too.

They also like dry cereal (Cheerios, Puffins or Shredded Spoonfuls), cheese and crackers, and hummus with carrots and cucumber and pita wedges or tortilla chips. Our on-the-go snacks are usually Z-bars, goldfish/cheddar bunnies, or pretzel sticks -- the Trader Joe's honey wheat ones are the best!
