Pumping

For those of you that pump when do you? I pump and breastfeed but and going back to work in 2 weeks so I will mostly be feeding LO mostly pumped milk. My question is when do you girls pump. Before Feedings, after feedings and how many times a day?

I think it's suggested that you pump after feeding LO.  If I let her eat first, I can't pump a drop.  I usually only feed from one side per feeding, so I've had better luck pumping from one side and nursing from the other.  I have off for the summer, so I only pump twice a day (for my stash and so DH can give her a bottle daily).  I pump in the evening when she gets her bottle and then in the early morning between 4 and 6 am.  I usually feed LO from the left side at her midnight feeding, and then feed her from the right side for the rest of the night.  By around 6 each am, my left breast is full enough that I can get 3 or so ounces by pumping and nursing at the same time. I'm hoping that I'll be able to pump enough when I return to work.  Unfortunately, I'm not one of those women who get a lot at one time.
