Girls who registered for CD's

Where did you register?

Did you get anything off of them? 

*I have heard that a lot of girls don't get much off the CD registry, but I will probably do it regardless!  I am thinking about Jillian's, Nicki's, or Diapers.... wanted to see what you girls did... TIA!

I did Kelly's Closet and two people bought from there. I only got a couple of diapers but I got Rockin Green, diaper cream, wool wash, a swim diaper, wet bags, wipes and wipe spray. I also got the diaper sprayer from my BRU registry.

I work at a cloth diaper store, so I registered there (duh).  I can tell you that the parents who get almost all or all of their stash purchased for them from their registries are the parents who registered for diapers at one store and ONLY big ticket items (stroller, car seats, furniture, etc.) from another store like Target or Babies R' Us.  Also, if you put something on the shower invites like "We're going cloth!  No disposable diapers, please," people will get the hint and purchase from your CD registry.

If you register for cheaper things like clothing, bibs and other items in the lower price range from a well-known store, those will get purchased before your CDs will.

I did, and I did get cds, but no one looked at my registry.    I just have friends who cd who bought me them.

I registered at my local store, and actually got a number of things! My shower invites had a little insert that said I was registered at Target and had decided to use cloth and then gave the website and address of my CD store. I also put a note on my Target registry that I had registered for CDs and listed the website again. I also added a couple BGs to get the point across! Luckily nobody bought me disposables! GL!

I registered on MyRegistry.com and Amazon.com.  Didn't get any CDs though.  Mostly clothes.  Good luck!

I registered at Amazon and Target, and I got many CDs for gifts.

All of my Thirsties covers were bought, the cotton/hemp inserts were bought, 2 BG 4.0s, 1 Thirsties fitted and my 2 diaper pail liners. It was a huge help!

I also put the Thirsties covers on my Target registry, but they didn't get bought from there. I expected that, but wanted people not to buy disposables.

Also, FWIW, my friends are all in their early 30s, and I think we tend to buy more practical gifts now that we're a little bit older

I registered for most of my CD stuff on Amazon, but also put a few on my Target registry so that people would see them. I don't expect to get any at my shower, but a lot of people I know give cash instead of buying from the registry.

I think having a local CD store that you can register at makes a big difference. A lot of people like to go to stores to purchase shower gifts, so having the store nearby helps.

I registered at a local store that also has a site- Modern Natural Baby.  It is awesome b/c they don't just have diapers, they have all sorts of baby items.

I had bought myself a few covers off the registry b/c I kept checking it & no one bought anything.  A few days before my MIL went & bought the entire registry!  It was so super amazing of her.  She doesn't even "get" CDing, she just knew it was so important to us/me.  I love her

I've registered at BRU and BBB - both have Bum Genius diapers. BRU also has Flip diapers. I thought I might get more CDs at my showers if they were on the same registry as all the other stuff. Most people know I'm CDing, but my showers aren't til next month. We'll see. The Bum Genius will likely be the day care stash. I've bought the other diapers that I need (newborn fitteds, covers, wool, prefolds, etc.).

Registered at BRU and Amazon. No one got the CDs but I did get my pail liner. Someone did get the 2 packages of 7th Generation dipes I put on there to have at the beginning before he fits in the size 1 Thirsties. I still have another shower my SIL is throwing in September so we'll see if anyone picks up any CD's, although at this point I've purchased all of my OS pockets myself whenever there has been a deal on various websites, so all that is left are my NB prefolds and covers, and the diaper sprayer.

I registered on amazon, which I definitely recommend. I got lots of CD stuff,i think people thought it was pretty unique so they wanted to be supportive. I got thirsties covers, kl0s, and wipes. I registered for gmd prefolds through the universal registry button, but no one got those. I only asked for newborn diapers since I wasn't committing to one kind of one-size diaper yet. I did put 2 BGs on my BRU registry, mainly to let people know we were CDing, and I got those too.

I registered at Target, BRU, and Amazon.  Each of those registries had CDs on it (and no disposables).  I only got maybe 3 diapers, a cover, and some wipes off of the Amazon registry....and I did end up getting disposables which are still sitting unopened in the closet. If people had been able to buy them in one of the stores I might have gotten more.

The Amazon registry was great.  I ended up using it to keep track of what I wanted to get and since it has the universal registry button you can put anything from any web site on it.  That was super helpful in remembering where I had found stuff and how much it cost.
