i drank a friggin' gallon of water yesterday and have been basically been drinking that much for about a month now. luckily my stomach started to cooperate, because earlier in my pregnancy all water i would drink would just sort of slosh around in my stomach and make me nauseous.
that said, the doctor at l&d yesterday told me to double my intake. i literally have no idea how i could consume 2 gallons of water a day. i constantly have a cup of water at my desk and get up to fill it the moment it's empty (at least every 45 mins). i also drink at least 24 ounces of milk a day and another 8 ounces of juice, so i'm getting lots of fluids.
do you just sit and periodically chug water? b/c sipping on it all day isn't getting me past my current intake!
Re: water intake
I do what you do and keep a cup of water full on my desk all day. I take water with me everywhere. It seems like you're getting plenty of fluids but then again you have two babies in there!
IUI#2 - 01/07/09 = BFP!!! Twins!! Pre-term labor 20 weeks
IUI#3 - 1/31/10 = BFP!!!! M/C - 8wks
IVF #1 - 7/2010 = c/p
FET - 9/2010 = another c/p
IUI#4 - 2/14/11 = BFP!
I literally never leave the house without a bottle of water (or two)...and that's just to get me to 64oz! I can't imagine drinking twice this amt or more. Just 64oz is a huge struggle for me most days. The first two bottles of water go down fine, but the 3rd and 4th always get me.
I start to feel nauseas like you described around the 3rd bottle. ugh. I've never been much of a fluid-drinker. Half a can of mtn dew and a bottle of water could get me through an entire day before this pregnancy. I've given up caffeine, but the water is just not appealing to me
GL with your two gallons!!!
We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.

This is kind of what I do too. I have one of those Nalgene style bottles (Target knock off) that's about 30-32 ounces that I take with me almost everywhere and I fill it up several times a day.
I understand completely!!!!
But I have to say, I LOVE ice water! I drink it all day and never leave without a huge container of ice water-- I think it helps that is hot as heck in the Summer because I CAN NOT get enough.
That said, having the 'amount to drink' guideline almost makes it worse for me. I just know, I'm constantly thirsty and drink ALL DAY.
