Our last name is very generic, and my father is Michael so we definitely want to use his name. So because they are both so common, we're kind of looking for something different without being wacky - does that make sense? I really like Finn over a lot of other options we've come up with...
It's not something I would choose but I think it's a cute name. I've never known an adult with that name so it's hard for me to picture but I think it goes nicely with Michael.

My mom wants us to name our baby Finn if it's a boy (we've got an Irish last name). To me, it's a little too Glee, but in general, I think it's a good name!
I'm surprised at all the positive responses. I actually love the name Finn, it is really cute, and dicussed it IRL and everyone hates it LOL. However, we are the opposite, and my maiden, and married last name are really wierd, so I can't be too mean to our child.
I like both of your names, however, I think Michael Finn would go well with a one syllable last name and Finn Michael would go well will a longer last name.
My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. I have a friend who named her cute little red-headed irish baby Finn Michael, and the name suits this little kiddo so well! I have never heard the combo before otherwise, so I think it would be a unique name for your little one that is easy to spell and to say. So many of the more unusual names or spellings can be hard for adults (like teachers, coaches, other parents) to get right, and who wants that for their baby?
I think either way is cute, though.

Finn is definitely a growing trend (go look at the baby names board). There's a lot of people who really like the name.
For me, it's NMS. I always think of Huckleberry Finn. Sorry!
I like Finn...
I vote Finn Michael

I've never watched Glee, but now I'm sad that it has a character with the name Finn...
