Is anyone else's nose leaking like a faucet? I havent had a problem with it until this weekend and all of a sudden it wont stop running and Im sneezing all the time. Im going to call my Dr office today and see what is safe to take during pregnancy because I cant take it anymore!

    Yes, mine is. I've been able to tough it out so far with some Vick's Vapor Rub at night. I believe that Sudafed along with most kinds of Robitussin are safe to take, as well as some forms of Tylenol Cold.

    Sudafed? I read that that was one medication to stay away from! My nose has been stuffed up for a few weeks now and I consistantly take claritin for allergies, but that hasn't helped much. It's just a pain in the rear!

    Yes, Sudefed is a big no-no! Makes me sad but my doctor was very stern on this.

    I'm trying to stay away from Sudafed myself- it's category C (use only if the benefit outweighs the risk) but I've been so dry that it wouldn't help me.  I'm trying to keep up with hydrating and Vics to sleep- I'm up several times a night to Vics when I don't even need to pee... then water and blowing my nose, trip to the bathroom anyway.
    But, FWIW, my midwife said swelling and dryness are common and I know I need to be really up on using a saline spray to limit the irritation since I'm more sensitive/ sneezy.  I think the less irritated our nasal passages are, the less sneezy we may be (I miss my allergy nasal spray).

    I forgot about vicks and saline nose spray, I think I'll give those a try before I call my Dr. Ive been drinking more water so hopefully that will help.

    I've been stuffed up as well. Breathe Right strips at night have really  helped me to breathe more clearly You might want to see if those help. On the plus side they are not medicated at all- so you don't have to stress about safety.

    I tlked to my Dr office and the nurse said sudafed is ok during pregnancy so I just took some, Im waiting for it to kick in so I can have some relief!

    Benadryl really helped with the horrendous congestion I had with my first baby.
