Breastfeeding

Miserable

I'm new here but I read alot of your guys' posts and I need some advice.  My DD is 7 weeks & is EBF and I pump about 10oz a day.  Prior to getting pregnant I was a  34D, now I count myself lucky if I'm a 36DD (that's the size of my nursing bras).  I plan on breastfeeding her for at least a year but I'm so annoyed by the size of my breasts & discouraged I cant find a sports bra that fits, I can't start running again & NONE of my PP shirts fit!!  I've had some issues with overproducing But I'm working through it.  Someone please tell me my boobs will chill out!!  Will I drop a size or 3 once my supply is established?  Please share your experiences & thank you for reading this!

Re: Miserable

  • Are you pumping in addition to nursing your daughter? Are you just trying to build up a stash or are you feeding her those 10oz?   If you're just pumping extra, STOP!!! Your body thinks it needs to make those extra oz!! You'll have a few days of engorgment, but power through it and your supply will even out.  As for running, I wore two sports bras to keep things under control!

  • I am pumping & nursing.  I'm freezing what I pump for when I go back to work in November.  I'd like to only have to pump 6-8oz a day.  Thanks for the tip on the sports bras, I'll definitely try that out!

I was a 34C pre pregnancy and was measured as a 34 G when I was fitted for my nursing bra.  I have a LuLuLemon TaTa Tamer in a 36DD (DD was the biggest size available) and it is amazing I just pulled the pads out and loosened the shoulder straps down.  It is a bit snug but the support is amazing I would highly recommend it.
