hi im new to this site. I just found out last week that im pregnant!! my husband and I have been trying for over a year and finally after a long journey, i was surprised out of the blue! we went to fertility specialists for the last few months. My husband was told he had a really low sperm count and that we wouldn't be able to conceive naturally...so i then decided to go through with the IVF process. Well I was waiting to get my period so I could start the fertility treatments and i didnt get it so i took a test and it was POSITI|VE.. A complete miracle....we couldn't be happier!!! Now i just wanna get through my first trimester. A few of my friends miscarried there first pregnancy so im very worried. Im 7 weeks pregnant and have my first visit next week. Does anyone know what they usually do the first visit? do they check for a heartbeat?

    Hi-congrats and H&H 9 months to you!  I just found out last week I'm pregnant with #2.  The first time around they check for a HB by donig an internal u/s.  I'm a bit hazy on a lot of the details since it's been almost 3 years but I at least remember that.
