Wardrobe for next summer?

I was at JCPenny's the other day and saw summer clothes in the clearance section. I want to get LO's summer wardrobe for next summer while everything is so cheap ($2-$5 each). Anyone else doing this? What size are you buying? LO currently wears 12 months, occasionally 18 months.

24 months would probably be ok. Their growth really, really slows down as they approach and pass through one year. A friend of mine has a son and he was right in 18 month clothes at his first birthday, and by the time he hit 18 months, he was still in 18 months.

As well, another friend with a son says he's sprouted up tall and has slimmed out, so he can actually wear 12 month shorts from LAST summer, and he's 2. Pants don't work as they're too short, but she can do it with shorts.

So, yeah, I would say 24 month stuff would probably be fine. He won't continue to grow at this rate much longer.

Yea, I'd go with 24 month/2T. That's the same size really, just different styles.

I have my son's wardrobe and half for my daughter.  She has been staying on age for clothes, so I bought 12-18 for winter, and 18-24, spring and summer. 

I have only bought off clearance racks, and with gymbucks or crazy 8 dollars.  I bought fall, half winter, all spring and summer for both kids for about 125-150.  All nice clothes which will last them the entire time they need!

My DS is 18 months and all summer May-now he has been in 18-24 month clothes. He is 34 inches and 26 lbs right now.

Overalls and one pieces tend to run small so I'd buy larger in those.

Also, I'd rather the clothes be a little big than too small..

I bought all of DS's spring/summer wardrobe over a year ago at the Children's Place, Carters & Osh Kosh outlet near me for .99 cents each pair of shorts/shirt!
