so today's Baltimore Groupon was for a water park. I haven't been to the beach or a pool ALL SUMMER and it just dawned on me that time is ticking! And I want to put some miles on that nice maternity bathing suit that's just been hanging in my closet!! lol. So anyway, I was thinking about taking my teenage nieces so they can do all the fun water slides & whatnot that i obviously know I won't be able to do. But question, I should be ok doing the lazy river right? When I take them I'll be 36 weeks and some change. I haven't been having any PTL probs and I don't start getting checked for dilation or anything until my next appt on the 8th. I tried calling the water park to see what their policies were since I can't find them on the website but of course trying to get an actual human on the line was like me trying to turn water into wine...not happenin. Guess i'll try again tomorrow, but just wanted to see what you ladies thought.

this is off topic but you look SO FAMILIAR to me!
anyway, my doctor encouraged me to swim till i lost my mucus plug. i still havent and i am delivering tomorrow at 38w5d. the lazy river or wave pool should be fine!
LOL i've been told i have a familiar face. but i live in Maryland.....maybe that helps?
As long as your Dr. hasn't told you not to go in the pool, you should be fine.
I'm pretty jealous, actually.

Just make sure you drink a lot of water and slather on that sunscreen.

It isn't a dumb question because believe it or not, most water parks don't allow pregnant women in the lazy river, as well as persons with back injuries. .We took our son and I assumed I could spend the majority of the day in the lazy river cooling off. No such luck. It seems stupid I know, but I guess it's a liability issue. I know when we were in atlantis I went, but was also only 12 weeks and barely showing. Kind of hard to miss now.
