What are you feelings on a mini crib?

With DS we got a whole nursery set. When he was 20 months his crib was recalled and we had to bring it back. We plan on using the dresser, and changing table for the next one but need to buy another crib. I found one that matches thats a mini crib. Not sure if anyone has ever used/seen one in person before. We already have a storage bed for when this next one gets big enough for a toddler/real bed. So I hate to spend that much on a nice crib we are not going to use that long. This will be our last LO. Any thoughts would be appreciated. TIA

I actually bought the Bloom Alma crib, I believe it's considered a mini.  The reviews say you can use them up to 2 years, but by then I will be using hopefully for baby #2.  I got it last week and it's great, especially for me because I am only 5'2"...I like the size because the nursery is small and I didn't want a huge convertable crib.  It comes with wheels and is fully collapsable (sp?) and easy to roll around, this will work good for us putting the baby crib in our bedroom for the first little while, then eventually leaving the baby in his/her room later. 

 This is my first child, so I don't have much experience with this, but it is going to work good for us.  My mother also added she wished my sister in law hadn't gotten the huge convertable, just to be wanting something new later.

i'm not sure how long the mini crib is that you are looking at buying but for reference we got a travel size graco pack n play when DS was born instead of a bassinet for our bedroom and he was so long that he literally did not fit in it after he was a few months old. I'm sure the one you are looking at is probably longer but just something to keep in mind! GL!

I am also looking at mini cribs (would love to know which ones you are looking at!!!) as I have a VERY small space to work with and most cribs won't fit.

I will be watching this thread for any other reviews from other's who have used them!

This is what we were looking at but just took measurements and it will not fit our crib mattress that we already have which is a problem since to buy a new mattress we might as well just buy a bigger crib
