I should really get back to work

I was playing on Baby Name Wizard (good site) and came across Aven (pronounced ay-vin). I have never heard it before but I really really like it! Yes, it's a bit like Avon... but I grew up being called "Bryan" on the first day of school every year but I still love my name (Brynn). It happens.

Thoughts?

I really like it, but I may be in the minority. I've heard it somewhere before (I think a celebrity named his daughter this a few years ago) and then on this board once or twice. I think it's cute and honestly, I'm so over the Ava/Ella/Olivia/Sophia/Emma trend!

I don't like Aven.

But as far as being over names yeah my daughters name is Ava and I really wish I would have done something better. It's sad but I can't stand it now! My name is really awesome (IMO) and I have never met anyone with the same name and I wish I would have done something similar with her.

I don't necessarily hate Aven, it's just too similar to other popular names that I'd be afraid people would think it was a typo for Ava, Evan, etc.

My daughter's name is Ayven. Yes, there is a "y" added, but it's phonetically correct for the pronunciation. I obviously love it and most people comment on how they like it was well. Yes, it is the name of a flower.

I am not feeling the spelling. I have a Turkish friend with the name Evin. Similar pronounciation from the best I can tell. I like the look of that a lot better.
