By palpation and u/s, my uterus is a good 1-2 inches above my belly button. All of the books, websites, etc. say your uterus should be at your belly button at 20w. I'm 18w today. Anyone else feel like they're bigger than they are supposed to be?
I am also above my belly button. I have an anterior placenta so not sure if that is contributing or not. Baby is on track so I don't really care where my uterus sits as long as she is going strong and is where she needs to be!

I am higher than my belly button, likely where a 23-24 week uterus could be (baby himself is measuring at 22 weeks). BUT, it can all vary based on your torso length and how you are built. I have a shorter torso and baby does not have a ton of room to stretch out very low.

I didn't even think of this playing a role. I have an anterior placenta too.

Mine is above slightly as well. From my very first appointment my doctor said that my uterus was just higher than most peoples. Nothing to worry about.

I don't think the anterior placenta has anything to do with it. I had an anterior placenta with my daughter, and always measured a little small. I think your torso has much more to do with how you carry/measure.
Mine is above my belly button too, but I'm pretty sure it's because I'm on baby #3 and my uterus is already stretched out. My Doc says that doesn't mean I'm going to have a big baby, thankfully!

Mine was at my belly button at my 17 week check, my Dr just said it is a little larger than average not to worry, I also have anterior placenta she didn't say anything about that being a factor but who know's.

I have not been measured by the doctor yet. I am 17.5 weeks and I swear that my uterus is just a smidge below my belly button and pushing the bottom of my belly button into an outie! There is no typical pregnancy and it's ok that we're not like it says in the books!

Last week, my doctor measured my fundal height to be 22 weeks, with uterus above belly button, which was actually 5 weeks ahead. My previous son was also measuring big as well. It could just be a larger baby, who knows. I am also short with a short torso as well and on my 3rd child.
At my 17 week appointment, my uterus was measuring above my belly button. My doctor to me that I was measuring about 3 weeks ahead. He said that it could be because my uterus has done this before and is thinking ahead, or that the baby could be measuring a little bit bigger, or that I could deliver a couple weeks early. At my 19 week appointment, it was still measuring ahead, so we'll see how it measures at future appointments.
