Two Under 2

Anyone else have 2 a year apart?

Just wondering if anyone else has two kids a year apart or will have two kids a year apart?  I have a daughter that is 7 1/2 months old ( was due Dec 23rd but i had her Dec 10th) and we are expecting baby number two ( find out the sex tomorrow) Dec. 26th.

Just wondering how you ladies felt or are feeling......im starting to have some anxiety, but i think its because my DH just started working out of town 3-4 days week.

Re: Anyone else have 2 a year apart?

  • Yes. My son was born 12/20 and my daughter came 1/11, so they are a year and 22 days apart. :)

During the pregnancy, it was definitely scary! I had a difficult time bonding with the pregnancy because of it. The reality of 2u2 was much easier than I anticipated in my head. I thought the pregnancy with an infant was much harder than having them both here. Now that we're 6 months in, it's pretty smooth sailing. Except that DD is starting to crawl and she steals her brother's toys which he is not a big fan of. LOL.

Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy! 2u2 is a lot of work, but so rewarding and fun. :)

  • Mine are 363 days apart. I had the whole gamut of emotions but when ds2 was dilue, I was ready. You'll be fine. There will be very stressful times but it gets easier week by week. My dh works A LOT and I've Just tried to keep a mainly positive attitude and do one day at a time.

  • My boys are a year and 3 weeks apart.  We are one month into it now and while it has had it's challenges, it is already getting easier. My DH works evenings/nights so sometimes it's really difficult.  And we are just starting to get our routine going again. DS1 loves his little brother already.

I will admit some days we watch a little more tv than I would like.  But I have to give myself grace on the days I'm exhausted.

My DD was born 8/6/10 and DS is due 10/23/11, so they will be a year and 2 months apart. While I have no experience for actually having two, the pregnancy part so far hasn't been too difficult! DD still naps 2xs a day and I'm able to rest on the days when I need to. She's still pretty light to carry and generally this pregnancy has been much easier than I expected having a 1yr old!

  • Hey,  My boys are exactly 10 months a part to the day. I was freaked out at first but it's funny how things always work out.  We are just on tight schedules and it works great for us.  I am not having a 3rd one so I am very excited for the boys to have each other as friends, brothers and they will keep each other entertained.

I do! Mine are exactly a year and two weeks apart. I'm obv not very experienced since I'm just a week in...but so far so good! DD was a pretty good baby, but so far DS is SO much easier, its crazy. Its making me think maybe dd wasn't really an easy baby? I know he's only a week old, but dd was completely different. But anyway, you'll be fine! I'm learning it takes a lot of patience and creativity. :)
  • My sons 1st bday is august 14th... and Im due with my second on august 19th. Im definitely feeling anxious bc my husband is hardly ever around. Hes constantly gone for 2-3 weeks at a time... and only has 1-2 days off a month. Plus Im starting back full time for the fall semester on august 15th. (yeah... its a little crazy). I just dont want my first born feeling left out. And it makes me anxious thinking about feeding 2 children, double bathing and diaper duty... haha. Im scared to be honest.
