How many of you are putting shoes on your LO?s on a daily basis, meaning more than just for the cuteness of them? Jacob will be 10 months this Friday and is constantly standing by pulling up on things, is this the time to start putting shoes on him? What first shoes did you pick and why. Thanks!
Re: Talk to me about shoes, should LO be in them already?
From what I've read soft soled crib shoes are okay on occasion but rigid soles shouldn't be used unless the child is walking and needs the protection of shoes.

Right now he is pretty much bare foot.
Once it turns cold I will have to put something on his feet, so I'm trying to find soft soled shoes that are big enough (5.5 extra wide, poor little guy has flinstone feet).
She is still barefoot all day every day. She hasn't started walking yet but I ordered some crib shoes for her to walk in once she starts walking outside/in public.
I'm planning to put off hard soled shoes for as long as possible.
DD is walking with assistance (ie: pushing her push toys EVERYWHERE) and I am starting to put soft-soled shoes on her. Starting this week, we are also sending her do DC in soft soled shoes instead of just socks. (our DCP wants something on their feet, because she runs her daycare in the basement of her house and it is pretty cool down there even with the 100 degree temps we've been having).
The soft-soled shoes are fine, but the rigid soles are not recommended until they are proficient walkers. I really like the See Kai Run shoes, and scored several pair on Zulily a while back.
What are "crib shoes"? I'm looking for an option when L has to go to DC in November. He is a hot bodied boy and putting him in leather slipper shoes like Robeez will just turn his feet into sweaty messes. So I'm trying to source some soft-soled, non-leather/suede shoes.
Robeez are a brand of crib shoe. Isabooties is another brand of crib shoe, but they use fabric instead of leather, you might want to check those out.
