Where do you keep bibs?

I've gotten a million bibs already (approximately Wink), between hand-me-downs from friends and family and a few gifts that I've received here and there.  They're all washed and ready to use, and until yesterday, I had them all thrown in a dresser drawer, where I dumped the whole load of them when they came out of the wash.  Now that I'm trying to straighten out the nursery a little (i.e. fold and put away the crib full of clean clothes), I had to take them out of the dresser drawer, and now I'm looking for a good way to store them.  Tossed in a basket on a shelf?  Hanging from a bar in the closet?  In a kitchen drawer?  Just looking for ideas.  Thanks!

  • I know a lot of families who only keep them in the kitchen. I'm planning on keeping them in the kitchen towel drawer.

  • A million is a ggood amount.. We didndnt need bibs till DD was 4 months then the drool started.. and it didnt end till she turned one.. at one point we were turning out 6+ bibs a day due to being drool soaked.. but anyway We currently keep the stack in the linen closet by our bathroom with the ttowels aand blankets since we only need them for feeding now..
  • Sounds like you have quite a few, so wherever you have room! :) No, but I keep them in a drawer in the kitchen. I just figured I'll need them the most downstairs and near food, so that's where they ended up.

  • My husband actually came up with a great solution that took up little space.  He bought a plastic bag holder that you hang on the inside of a cupboard door and we stored them in there.  It was especially helpful once baby started eating solids.  You didn't always have to run to the nursery to get a bib before feeding baby.

  • I actually took mine and hung them around a hanger in the closet with Jellybean's other clothes. I did that because we don't have a lot of kitchen drawer space or dresser space for them.

I guess I should add...we live in an apartment right now so everything is on one floor. Don't have to run upstairs to get them or anything.

  • I went and bought this organizer last night and I rolled up the bibs and put them in the very top cubby. I won't be using them for quite sometime, so until then, they'll be in here. After I start using them, I'll move them into the drawer with the dish rags/towels.

Oooh, I like this idea!  We have one of those bag holders in our cellar stairs for bags now, but I could totally hang one in the pantry for bibs!  I may make one out of cute baby fabric, actually.

Our house is a small ranch, so it's all one floor and running down the hall to the nursery to grab a bib wouldn't be a big deal, but the bag holder idea is fabulous!

  • I kept mine in the towel drawer in the kitchen .  But this time around I will be keeping them in a bag holder on a hook in the pantry.

The basket on top of this thing....the basket hasnt always been there....was next to the glider or bed when DS was a newborn.  I also have a few stashed in the dresser in his room.

  • I have dual basket in the kitchen in the pantry.  On one side I keep bibs, and on the other side I keep washcloths.  Burp rags would be good to keep too if you don't need washcloths.

  • I always kept the nicer bibs (ones that went with outfits, or were super cute) in the closet and used them just as drool catchers.  The cheapo bibs went in a kitchen drawer along with the vinyl bibs for food.

One of my pet peeves is seeing a baby with a soaked shirt, so we used bibs a lot, but I wouldn't take DS out in public with a stained one.  I know, I'm a freak.

  • I have 2 baskets that I picked up at the dollar store specifically for bibs. One of them is upstairs in LO's bedroom on one of the shelves in his closet and one of them is on a shelf easily accessible in the livingroom.
