Looking for a bob-style, around shoulder length, for straight hair... I don't want tons of layers or a drastic invert.  Any ideas?  TIA?

I recently did this same thing. I thought I would trade in my super long hair for a cute bob. I cut it like Hayden Panettiere (you can google pics). It was a really cute bob and sounds exactly like what you are looking for! Good luck!

 FWIW, it didn't turn out well for me I totally regret chopping my hair off (not to be a Debbie downer)

I did mine for the first time like that, now mine is more drastic as in a lil shorter than mid neck and layered but the difference is at the back of the neck I do it straight across and have her go longer as she hits the front (not drastically). See My first i had this picture of Kelly Clarkson https://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nhlqtamD6bk/TD0atLL5lJI/AAAAAAAAAc4/1Nor_S-thXE/s1600/Kelly+Clarkson+Hair+Trend.JPG then just went with that over time but always did the back straight.
