I saw your post to Katie on the BF board. My boys were born early because my smaller guy was IUGR. He weighed 1lb7oz at birth. He's up to 6lb14oz today. In the beginning he had a really tough time gaining weight. He's been on exclusive BM since day 3 but it's been fortified to 30 calories. The nutrition techs add 2 packets of HMF per oz and MCT oil. Like Katie said, you may want to ask about increasing the calories per oz.

Hey!  Yes, the doctors did put HMF in the breastmilk to 24 calories as of day 7.  He seems to do well on that.  He hasn't had the GI stuff they warned us about.  So the day I posted my concerns, he was 3 lbs 8 ounces (which he was for three days in a row, after gaining almost everyday) so I was worried, the next day he popped up to 3 lbs 11 ounces...I know its more important to look at the trend than daily weights, but when he kinda plateaued I was freaking out...thanks for your post/advice!
