Best mattress to use with Angelcare monitor?

Hi-

This is my very first post, however I have been a very active reader since starting our registry at the end of June.  I couldn't of finished planning our wedding without The Knot.  Advice/opinions are terrific!

We will be using the Angelcare monitor to hopefully get some peace of mind sleep.  Their website (in addition to the board) suggests NOT to use a foam mattress.  I was interested in getting a mattress for infant on one side then flips to toddler on the other side.  Thoughts/suggestions?

My DH and I have read that as long as it is not a memory foam mattress it will work.

we have the colgate clasica I foam mattress and it's a terrific mattress and works great with the angelcare

We have a naturepedic mattress that's infant on one side and toddler on the other and it works great with it. It's too bad though because angelcare now has the video monitor version just months after we bought the standard one. Now that's he's becoming mobile I wish I could see what he's doing. I have loved the monitor so far though.
