Who to write the baptism check out to?

Mom, dad or baby? 

Mom & dad are together, but not married. Dad and baby share last name.  Mom is my HS friend.

I didn't get to the bank for a savings bond, so I'm giving a check for them to deposit into baby's account (hopefully).

    We usually write them out to the baby.  I know we received ones that were to our kids for their baptisms.

    not to the baby, write it to either parent.  we haven't gotten around to opening an account for dd yet, and i'm sure many parents of small infants haven't either.  some banks will give you trouble when trying to cash it into your own account if it's made out to your child. we had dd baptized a month ago, and out of all of the checks we received, only two were made out to her.  thankfully our bank didn't seem to even check.
