line drying in winter

Our LO isn't due until October. Most of our stash consists of BG 4.0s. My washer and dryer are in the basement and I have a short clothesline down there. Will they dry in a decent amount of time on the line down there or will I need to get a collapsible drying rack to use near a window?

Re: line drying in winter

  • Everything line dries pretty quickly in winter in my experience.  I think it's from having the heat on, so the warm air that's circulating helps to dry everything.  It takes much longer for things to line dry with the air conditioning on now.  BG 4.0 shells take maybe 20-30 min tops to line dry for me, and I just throw the inserts into the dryer on low.
  • Ooh... I hadn't thought of that. I could just hang them by the radiator in my dining room. It's mostly windows on two sides.

I think the heat is frying my brain.

We have a line in the basement too, but it is right next to the furnace, which means they dry quick.  I have also draped them around the rim of a laundry basket and set right in front of the heat vents. Another warm place in our house is the bathroom, so I crafted a line to go from the curtain rod to the door.
