I have very regular 24 day cycles, with the exception of my last cycle which was 25 days. I have been off of BCP for 7 months and my period returned right away. My attitude about this has been more cycles = more chances to get pregnant.
However, from what I have read here I feel like short cycles can be a problem due to a short LP? I was very sloppy about temping/charting in the past but according to FF I O'd on CD 13, making my LP 11 days (please correct me if I'm wrong).
This cycle is our first cycle officially trying so I am charting regularly, first thing each morning, at the same time each morning.
Are my cycles and LPs short to the point where I could have issues? I'm a little confused. TIA.
Re: Short cycle/short LP
Possibly. I wouldn't worry about it until you have at least 3+ FULL cycles charted, documenting a short LP (9 days or less). 11 is on the low end of average, but still normal. It could also be likely that your body is still regulating after coming off BCPs.
If you're really concerned, you have to be really serious about charting to document your cycles.
ETA: I just looked at your charts and there's no temps, no confirmed O, kind of confused on how you confirmed O last cycle.
From what I've read, a normal LP is anywhere between 10-16 days. Anything shorter than 10 days may be cause for concern. I also read something on FF where it said that women with 10-11 day LPs might still have an issue if they are timing sex properly and are still having trouble getting pregnant.
I know, this is our first cycle really trying and I will be a diligent charter.
Regarding my chart, I charted for two months but I was sloppy about it, especially after FF detected O. I would start skipping days of temping, and FF would remove the O date. I didn't chart at all last month. That is what I meant by I was very sloppy with charting.
I see!! Just make it happen this month
I bet you'll see over time that your LPs will get longer, the longer you're off BCPs. And if they don't, you'll have documentation to share with your doctor! GL!
