I noticed on a previous thread that there are a few of us here! My husband is in the Air Force and just returned home from a deployment in May. He is leaving again in XX amount of days for a two month training and then home until the baby is born (hopefully) and then leaving again for seven months!
I want you all to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I understand what you're going through if you have a spouse that is gone or leaving. I will say that deployments have made our marriage rock solid and I am very proud to be an AF wife! :-)
Re: Where are the military mamas-to-be at?
Im here...we are a Navy family...with Hubs attached to a Marine unit right now out in Afghanistan. We are having our "R&R" baby one we have been wanting for a while. We didnt have trouble conceiving just too many deployments kept delaying the process. But hubs will be home for good in XX days which is so exciting. I have 39 days till MIL is here and that means XX days later DH is here
I cannot wait.
I
how deployments make you realize how much you love and honor your DH while he is gone and how much you cherish him even with the little irratating things when they are home.
I'm here too, We are also a navy family, my husband is currently home but might be deploying by the end of the year which he will miss the baby's birth.
Here I am, Here I am!! haha. We're a Navy family too! DH will be deployed in April of next year, but it's only a 9 monther.
We're super thankful he'll be here for the birth.

I don't believe that God ever tells us "no". he has three options. Yes, not right now, or I have something better in mind. We just have to wait & see.
Here I am! Naval Aviator family. My DH is leaving soon after the baby is born for a 7 month deployment. That isn't too horrible.
He may have a training session over the date my baby is due, so I am hoping we can get him to stay here, or get induced early, or maybe the baby will just come early!

First off, wow, I didn't realize there were so many in Feb 2012 board
I'm a soon to be Army wife (3 days) but will not be living with him on base in Ft. Riley. He is supposed to deploy sometime next year so hoping he will be here long enough to see LO born. He is finished with his 4 years a year after LO is due and we are going to talk about him re-enlisting (not sure how serious he is about it) and if he does, then I will move out with him. We've survived 2.5 years of long distance and 1 deployment already. I can't wait to finally be with him in the same location, whether that be at a new base, or back in MN.
