Ya, that's what DH wanted to name LO if it were a boy. NO WAY!!! Luckily "it" was a girl and we both loved the same name from the beginning. If we have another one and it's a boy it's going to be a brutal fight.
Greek form of the Persian name Khshayarsha which meant "ruler over heroes". This was a 5th-century BC king of Persia, the son of Darius the Great. He attempted an invasion of Greece, which ended unsuccessfully at the battle of Salamis.
. I hope he changes his mind on this one! Maybe he will compromise with Xavier or something.

I work at a kids' camp and I know that child would have to go thru a lot with a name as unusual as that. At pick-up children are told to come to the front desk over the intercom, and strange names are butchered on a daily basis (not to mention teachers, subs, classmates, etc). As a person with a strange name myself, I STRONGLY recommend that you stick with names strangers will be able to figure out easily. There's nothing like getting stuck with a bad nickname from someone's mistake
I have such a crush on this name after watching One Night With The King. I wouldn't really use it though. I don't think it's that awful though because it is an actual name versus the other name atrocities out there. I'm just not that brave with names.
Re: Xerxes
I have a snake named Xerxes. That is about all I would do with the name though lol.
how would you even say that?
