Teeth = Ouch!

C drew blood last night.  SO PAINFUL.  He was distracted and unlatched, and then when attempting to latch back on, he bit down and shook his head at the same time.  I winced and pulled him away (I know I'm supposed to do the opposite) to find that he had bit in to my nipple and it was bleeding.  Oy.  I'm still sore today.

Yikes!  DS already has a tendency to gnaw even w/o teeth.  I'm kind of scared of him getting teeth.  I've never unlatched him for gnawing because he's so easily distracted when nursing already, I'm just happy to get milk in him.  Hope you're not sore for long!

try APNO (All Purpose Nipple Ointment), by prescription only and only certain pharmacies will mix it for you but it'll help heal you!

omgaaaah that does not sound fun! i agree with the APNO rec. also, be really careful with the wound, you don't want to get thrush from bacteria entering where he bit you.

DS did that to me a lot b/c he got teeth at 3 months. It is the worst!! I ended up getting mastitis three times from bacteria getting into my ducts. My doctor told me not to nurse on that side - just pump until it's healed up to keep from getting bacteria in there. Hope you heal quickly!
