I'm new to the Allergy board but not new to allergies. My 18 month old has been dairy free since he was 6 months old. We just got his allergy test results back this week and now he's egg and wheat free. I am very overwhelmed with what and how to feed him now. He's already super picky and teeny tiny and now I have to eliminate eggs and wheat too? Bread is his all time fave thing...I can always use his "butter" on bread to get him to eat something if he refuses his meal.
I have been scouring the internet for good wheat free bread recipes. I need a good sandwich bread for him and the closest to "normal" bread the better. He loves his bread and butter and he loves almond butter sandwiches.
Also I need stuff like chicken nuggets without breaking the bank.
Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!
Re: New to board...
I'm new to the board too, kind of just realizing it was here.
The cheapest way I have found for chicken nuggets and such is to make your own. The easiest way is going to be spending the extra money for half the product you would normally get. I really haven't found middle ground between a decent price and little work.
I have found gluten free bread at my local grocery store, but it was very different from regular bread in flavor and consistency, again maybe try making your own? I have a cook book called "Cooking for Isaiah" I haven't looked through it much yet but from what I did see it is pretty good on the dairy and wheat free, not sure about egg.
Good luck.
