Lafayette Doctors

Hello, I just very recently found out I was pregnant; is there anyone in the Lafayette area who could recommend a Dr.  I go to St. Elizabeth East for my yearly, but just have a nurse practitioner.  I think I would like to be able to stay with that hospital but don't know if I should get a family doctor or an OB/GYN.  I'm am very new to being pregnant and don't know where to start!!  Thanks.

Hi There!

Congrats on the recent news! I highly recommend Dr Joseph Shinn. While I haven't had any children yet, I used to work with him (he used to work near Indy, then relocated back to Lafayette) and he is amazing. If my insurance was in his network, I'd totally go see him. Here is a link to his page:

I love DR Shinn and Dr Knutson is also in his practice. It is called Premier Hralthcare for Women. It is right next to St E.

I went to Dr. Sam. She was fabulous She is part of the St. Elizabeth East team of doctors too!
