Shoes

I want to get some shoes for Juliana since she is now pulling herself up on everything and walking along furniture. What type of shoes do you suggest for an almost 9 month old? I would like to get her a few pairs so I am looking for shoes that don't cost a ton of money for each pair. Smile

Re: Shoes

  • Unless you're dead set on shoes, socks with grip on the bottom would probably be best for inside the house.

I've seen Robeez at local discount stores such as Ross, Marshalls, ect, for as low as $8 a pair. You might want to check at any stores like that near you.  Target also has their own version of Robeez and there are a bunch of pairs for $14.99. I think they're called Ministars.

I like the idea of soft soled, real leather shoes because ideally babies would learn to walk barefoot.  These shoes are as close as it comes to walking barefoot.

however long the night, dawn will break.

  • We finally bought DD a pair of stage 2 shoes from stride rite because she wanted to stand amd "walk" when we were out at stores, restaurants etc.  They are really cute and the stride rite people were good about getting a right fit for her foot.

We only put them on her when we absouletly have to since it isn't great for their feet to have shoes on them (she probably is in them an hour or two a week max) so even with one pair they look brand new.  You might be able to get away with one really good pair of shoes instead of several cheaper ones (of course, unless you just want lots of shoes because they are cute...then my advice won't help! :-) )
