Ok so one of my 16 month olds has a goopy eye. Just noticed it now, so it was fine all day. It looked like just some goop on the corner, so i wiped it and it came right back. The bottom looks a little watery. Doesnt look like pink eye at all. What can this be?

Is it green or yellow?  Could be a sinus infection.  If the sinuses are really plugged, the mucus can come out in the eyes.

Could be many things... allergies, clogged tear duct, something got in there, eye infection, or even an ear infection. I would keep an eye on it and if it continues, a trip to the pedi may be necessary.

DD had a pretty goopy eye last month. We gave her some children's claritin and it cleared right up. However, she also gets goopy eyes occasionally when she has an ear infection.

My guy had the goopy eyes, and stuffy/runny nose last week and dr called it pink eye.  he had the same thing several months ago while we were out of town, saw dr there and they called it a sinus infection.  both rx cleared it up tho

My DS gets this when he gets an ear infection.  I would take LO to the doctor because as a pp said, it could be soooo many different things.
