Need some PT tips.

So I got this bright idea that I'd start potty training Emma this weekend.  DH is a teacher and heads back to work after this week, so I figured that it would be easiest to do it while I have help.  I've got a few pairs of training pants and some Yo Gabba Gabba (her FAVORITE!) panties for when she's ready.  I've got a small potty (the one that sings when she goes) and also a toilet insert seat with handles.  I've been trying to make her sit for at least 5 minutes every 20 minutes or so.  So far she hasn't gone in the potty once.  She seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that she's done it in the training pants.  She's also a kid who has never once complained over a wet or dirty diaper.  WHAT the heck do I do?  I'm pretty much flying by the seat of my pants.  I've got M&Ms which I have shown her and explained that if she goes pee pee in the potty, she gets chocolate.  She's thrilled about that, but it hasn't worked so far.  We've been at it for a few hours so far, and I know I shouldn't expect too much from a 2 year old, but at what point should I either see some progress or decide that she's just not ready?

I honestly wouldn't push it since she just turned 2. But if you think she's ready, don't put pull ups on her. Keep her in panties, you'll have messes to clean up, but that's part of the learning process. I made a chart. She got a sticker on her chart if she went peepee or poopy in the potty, but if she had an accident, she got a sad face. The sad face had the biggest impact because every time she saw the chart she would mention the sad face and say it was her crying because she went peepee in her panties.

Also, if she has an accident, make her clean it up (of course, you can't expect a great clean up job from a 2 year old, so you'll have to go back and clean up after her).

Are the training pants the absorbant kind?  If so, take them off and put on real underwear so she can really feel she is wet.  Want me to send you the 3 day PT e-book?  You don't have to follow it exactly but it has some great ideas for how to get the point across.  Gavin drove us nuts the first day b/c he would pee 5 seconds after he got off the potty.  But then on day 2- it clicked and he's never looked back.  Email me at slwprincess at gmail dot com if you want me to send it.
