If I want to wash every other day... (AIOs)

How many do I need in each size? I've mainly been using prefolds and washing every third or fourth day but want to start washing quicker with the AIOs.

I realize I should be able to figure this out on my own but my brain is fried today. If it helps, she goes through 6-7 diapers a day.

  • I would say at a minimum you want three days worth as some AIOs can take 24 hrs to get completely dry.

    7 diapers/day x 1.5 days= 11 diapers (in wash)

    + 1 day dry time= 18 diapers (total)

I would buy 24-30 diapers to make sure you have enough on extra messy days or for if you need to go a little longer between washing.

  • If you don't want to spend that much $, I'd just get 20 AIOs and have some PFs & covers for backups.  If she is outgrowing her PFs, you can always trifold them in an OS cover.

  • Loading the player...
  • also, some AIOs dry faster than others, and you could use the dryer on low if you get behind...
